Annsley’s Success Story
“My results? My liver enzymes are (now)in the ideal range, and I no longer have a fatty liver… I lost 20lbs too! ”
I like knowing how what I put into my body affects my body. Once you know that, old habits are easy to change. I feel so good. Why would I ever revert back?
My mom had done Resolve 2 Results while I was still in college. She would share bits about what she was learning, and it was definitely interesting, but health wasn’t really on my priority list. Then, senior year in college, I started dealing with some mental health stuff, and it put my health front and center. I decided to go sober, which was an important piece of the puzzle, but I think I started snacking more; my weight started to creep up. My bloodwork looked good, so I wasn’t worried.
After graduation, I felt uncomfortable in my body and wanted to lose some weight, so I met with a nutritionist. I began a way of eating that was high-protein and based on calorie counting. I was running 10 miles a day and strictly counting every morsel. This wasn’t helping my mental health. My anxiety — around food especially — was crippling. Looking back now I can see that it was very unhealthy, but at the time I thought it was healthy. I thought I was doing what was best for my body.
After a year of the high-protein lifestyle, I got my bloodwork done again. My liver enzymes came back high — and I had a fatty liver! Clearly this wasn’t working. I needed a way of eating that was actually healthy … and I knew just who to turn to. I had my mom put me in touch with Jenna immediately.
My goal? I wanted to lose 10lbs, and fix my fatty liver and high liver enzymes. I wanted to learn more about food and discover what food I liked. I wanted to learn how to make my own food, because processed food was definitely not helping my body — or my mind — even if it did fit into my calorie allotment. I wanted to do all of this in the healthiest way possible.
What I learned in the program turned my life around!
My results? I lost 20lbs! I didn’t think it was possible to lose 20lbs on my 5’1” frame, but I did. It’s like this way of eating just agrees with my body. My liver enzymes are in the ideal range, and I no longer have a fatty liver.
My anxiety has drastically improved. I feel lighter, and calmer, and more clear-headed. I wake up and have energy, don’t need to take anything to help me sleep at night, and no longer need afternoon naps. I wake refreshed, I run, I shower, I work, I cook. I have energy to do whatever I want!
An unexpected surprise? I love to cook! I found so many new foods I enjoy, and I love my food processor. Who knew? I like to bake, and I still bake often. Now, what I make is so much healthier, and still delicious.
My running has also improved. It’s easier to run farther distances, but I’ve also gotten better at listening to my body. Before, I would run way too many miles as a way to burn calories. Now, I run a comfortable amount that feels good — and when my body wants to run more or less, I listen. It’s so freeing.
Knowledge is truly power. We’re humans, and we can’t be ‘perfect’ 100% of the time. But now, because of what I KNOW, it’s easy to not fall into old, unhealthy habits. I like knowing how what I put into my body affects my body. Once you know that, old habits are easy to change. I feel so good. Why would I ever revert back?
Not only is Jenna a coach to teach you about all this nutrition — she becomes your friend. It’s much easier to go through this process with someone you’re comfortable with. Jenna cares so much, and you can feel it.
I think everyone needs to have the information in this program, so they can decide how to approach their health. Going into R2R, I didn’t know anything about food. Now I know so much, and I just want to keep learning more! I could listen to Jenna talk all day.
Jenna is changing lives … and I’m so grateful she helped change mine.
