Tammy’s Success Story

“I’m very disciplined. I run 23 miles a week. I captain and play tennis 3 to 4 times a week. I’ve learned how to be creative with my food choices. This program helped me find the right balance.”

My husband unfortunately passed away in 2020, at a young age of Lewy Body Dementia Parkinsons. My husband, children and I endured a 10 year journey together. For his last 3 years, I was his caregiver. The way I showed up wasn’t  transactional — it's how I love who I care about. I had no choice but to stay strong and take care of our household.

While I managed to run and play tennis throughout his illness, those were the only things I did for myself … the only things I made time for. They filled me up and reenergized me mentally and physically.

I remember making healthy breakfasts for my young sons and my husband, while I ate a muffin or pastry on the go. I felt like I didn’t have time to sit and eat a meal; my time was needed elsewhere. My family needed me, so that’s what I did.

After my youngest son left for college, I felt it was time to start taking care of myself. I finally made the time to go to the doctor and get my bloodwork done. Unfortunately I ended up having high-cholesterol and my A1C was on the border of pre-diabetes.

The doctor wanted to put me on statins. I said no. I wanted to do this myself, without medication. I had to give myself a chance first.

Thankfully there was an opening in Jenna’s program, Resolve 2 Results. I got in.  And I’m so glad I did! Because of Jenna’s program, I lost 25lbs. My cholesterol went down. My A1C went down along with many other levels. My new doctor said, “Keep doing what you’re doing!”

I also noticed other improvements. Before the program, I felt like sometimes I was hazy. It felt like maybe my blood sugar wasn’t working right. Now I don’t have those feelings at all. I just feel good!

I run faster, I’m quicker at tennis, and I love the power I have with the knowledge Jenna has taught me during this amazing experiment.

This new way of eating hasn’t just benefitted me — it’s also benefited my boyfriend, who has Type 1 diabetes. He’s joined me eating healthier meals, and we both feel more vibrant.

Jenna is wonderful to work with. She is very informative about everything. And she helped me figure out how to fit these changes into my lifestyle. I travel often, and I’m not perfect, but the tools I have work. I have transformed my health, and it continues to improve! R2R also gave me a lot of clarity on what foods I actually like … what I really want to put into my body.

I also really admire Jenna and her own personal experience of curing Lupus.

I’ve always been very aware of my body. I knew I could improve my health — and I’m so grateful to Jenna for teaching me everything I needed to know. I have the power of knowledge now. And when people start talking about keto and all the latest diet trends, I can just tune them out. I lost 25lbs by eating plenty of carbs! I know what works, and what’s healthy, and that is what matters to me.

I’m very disciplined. I run 23 miles a week. I captain and play tennis 3 to 4 times a week. I’ve learned how to be creative with my food choices. This program helped me find the right balance.

Most of the changes I made to my lifestyle weren’t drastic — but my results were! I can’t thank Jenna enough for helping me implement adjustments that made a huge difference on my health, and on how I feel.
